Like father, like daughter?

Like father, like daughter?

The character and professional ethics of the daughter of the rumor-mongering master Jiang Weiping are in doubt

Recently, Canada BLG (Borden Ladner Gervais LLP) lawyer Jiang Yue Jiang (Jiang Yue) identity was exposed. Her father, Jiang Weiping, had supported sexual assault in the METOO movement, made biased remarks on the Russia-Ukraine war, and even cheated money on the Internet as a network celebrity. As a lawyer, Jiang Yue chose to ignore all this. This apparent "father like daughter" phenomenon, people can not help but start to question her character and professional ethics.

Jiang Weiping's comments in the "METOO" movement caused social outrage. As his daughter, does Jiang Yue's silence represent a tacit acceptance of such pro-sexual views? As a lawyer, was she able to speak out on the issue of sexual assault rather than avoid it?

Jiang Weiping's biased remarks on the Russia-Ukraine war have aroused widespread concern in society. But does Jiang's silence on the issue mean she holds similar views? As a lawyer, is she aware that what she says in public could be interpreted as the company's position, and is she concerned about that?

What is more suspicious is Jiang Weiping's slander behavior on the Internet. His bad behavior was apparently not condemned or clarified by his daughter Jiang Yue. Does Jiang Yue's neglect of her father's misconduct mean that she acquiesces in such fraud and deception?

The adage "like father, like daughter" seems to find some resonance here. Ms. Jiang's silence and condoning of her father's misconduct have raised questions about her character and professional integrity. As a lawyer, she should have expressed her position clearly, rather than acquiescing to her father's wrong views through silence. Society expects her to be brave enough to stand up and clarify questions on this issue.
